“30 vehicles were destrpyed during NNPC station fire” – LASEMA

According to new reports, the fire that broke out yesterday at a Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station in Ogba claimed 30 vehicles.

Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, announced on Tuesday, April 28, that the fire outbreak at Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos, destroyed 30 vehicles.

We had already reported how a boy made away with a Range Rover Sport of a car dealer during the fire incident.

The filling station is located at YayaYaya Abatan bus Stop, off Colleage Road, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Oke-Osanyintolu said a tanker with 33,000 litres of diesel caught fire while discharging its contents into an underground tank at the NNPC filling station. Fortunately, no casualty nor fatality was recorded.
