In a video that just surfaced online, a prison located in Delta State were set ablaze by inmates.
The Inmates from the Sapele Correctional Service on Monday set the facility on fire partly because 25 inmates were granted amnesty by the state government, but only three persons have been released.
According to an eye witness, they were throwing things from “inside-out” as a form of protest. It was reported that they sighted tribalism in the release of the three inmates.
They also protested the alleged lack of food and water. Security operatives and firefighters were immediately mobilized to the scene to ensure that none of them escaped.
