Funke Akindele speaks for the first time after being prosecuted by the Lagos State government (video)

Popular Nollywood comic actress, Funke Akindele-Bello has spoken out for the first time since she was prosecuted by the Lagos state government for violating the lockdown order.

Funke was arrested, charged to court and convicted by the Lagos state government for breaking the social distancing rule when she hosted a birthday party for her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skills.

The actress and her husband were sentenced to 14-day community service and fined N100,000 each.

In a video she shared on Instagram on Sunday, Funke revealed she has learnt a lot from her ordeals during the trial and prosecution, she said: “These past few weeks have been a learning curve but we must keep moving forward.

“My dear friends, coronavirus is real. We must collaborate with the Lagos State Government and Federal Government by staying at home, staying safe.
