Liverpool striker, Sadio Mane tests positive to COVID-19

Popular footballer and  Liverpool FC striker, Sadio Mane has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

The Premier League player was confirmed positive with the novel virus in a post on Liverpool’s official website on Friday, October 2.

According to Liverpool, the Senegalese International footballer, Mane is currently self-isolating as necessary guidelines against wide spread of the pandemic.

Recall that Mane last played for Liverpool in their 3-1 victory against rival club, Arsenal FC on Monday. The player, however, was said to have displayed Mane minor symptoms of the virus but now feels in good health overall.

This is coming not long after Liverpool’s new signed, Thiago Alcantara tested positive for the dreaded disease.
